A child’s potential should never be limited by what their family can afford.
At Rockford Youth, Sports and Mentor, we’re working to create something bigger than a sports program. We’re building a pathway where young people can discover their abilities, develop meaningful relationships with positive adults, learn practical skills, explore careers and colleges, experience places they’ve never had the opportunity to visit, and begin imagining a future they may not have known was possible.
For our families, the cost is simple:
$0.
No registration fee. No pay-to-play barrier. Our goal is to make opportunity accessible regardless of a family’s financial circumstances.
But free for a child does not mean free to provide.
Uniforms, equipment, meals, transportation, facilities, educational materials, field trips and experiences all require resources. That’s where our community partners come in.
YOU’RE NOT JUST SPONSORING A PROGRAM.
When you invest in Rockford Youth, Sports and Mentor, you could be helping a first grader put on a team uniform for the first time.
You could help a middle-school student learn how to cook a meal, change a tire, create something with their hands or spend their first night camping under the stars.
You could help a high-school student build their first résumé, practice their first job interview, understand credit and money, walk onto a college campus, explore a skilled trade or meet someone working in the career they’ve been dreaming about.
You could help a young person visit a museum, aquarium, university or workplace they have only seen on a screen.
And sometimes, seeing what’s possible is the first step toward believing it’s possible.

We’re looking for businesses, organizations and individuals willing to help open those doors.
Support can come in many forms—financial sponsorships, sports equipment, uniforms, meals, transportation, technology, educational supplies, field-trip experiences, facilities, professional expertise, career opportunities, internships, skilled-trade demonstrations or simply asking:
“What do these kids need, and how can we help?”
You don’t have to be a major corporation to make a difference.
You just have to care enough to become part of it.
